Greetings, Parents and Students!
Welcome to Johnson Learning Center, where our mission is to recalibrate, restore and reconnect our youth to themselves, their education and their community. Johnson's school-wide emphasis is for every student to BE MINDFUL, BE INSPIRED, BE BETTER. Through reinforcing positive behaviors using school-wide initiatives and student-focused interventions, we help develop and foster self-discipline based on an understanding of how behavior contributes to the efficiency of community, positive school culture, and personal accomplishment. If students implement the behavioral and academic skills we teach at Johnson, we believe they can be successful anywhere.
We also ensure all students complete the academic requirements to prepare for the transition back to their school of zone. Have no worries; our curriculum is the same as MNPS and the state of Tennessee, which means students will not fall behind because of attending Johnson. Our personalized approach to learning has allowed many students to recover credits and receive intense academic interventions, which has assisted in closing some academic gaps.
